Zigzag Mountain Songwriting Camp is a weekend songwriting retreat on 50 beautiful acres on Mt. Hood near Zigzag, Oregon. The 2011 & 2012 camps saw 32 songwriters gather from Thursday afternoon through Sunday morning to write and share songs and enjoy the beauty of the natural site. The 2013 camp promises to be even better.
There are two camps this year: June 13-16 and July 18-21. Registration is open for the June camp; July camp is currently sold out and accepting waiting-list signups only.
Writing workshops in the mornings, with free time to write and enjoy the wooded site and surrounding national forest in the afternoons. Evenings we gather for song circles and camp fires. Emphasis is on crafting songs that ring true and express the unique voice and experiences of the writer. All levels are welcome; space is limited.
